Primary Suite Conversion

I provided this primary bedroom suite conversion idea for a local investor who was scrambling for direction on what to do with this 19th century home. Vaulted ceilings and a large open space replaces formerly confined partition. The barn door leads to the bathroom which was formerly an antiquated and low quality bedroom space. This conversion results in a home with 3-bedrooms and 2-baths from a previously antiquated floor-plan, fraught with obsolescence. A quick look at the history of housing supply over the last 15-years. Far left is the Great Recession and an unheard of 14-month housing supply! At the right is a similar unheard of housing supply challenge at less than 1.5-months. Currently, the housing inventory in the greater North Tacoma area is about what it was in June of last year. The current housing supply also mimics the fluidity of shortage seen over the last several years, that which has lead to astounding year-over gains.
